Fire Safety Services

engineNew fire safety rules affecting all non-domestic
premises in England and Wales came into force
on 1 October 2006.

If you are:

  • responsible for business premises
  • an employer or self-employed with business premises
  • responsible for a part of a dwelling where that part is solely used for business purposes
  • a charity or voluntary organisation
  • contractor with a degree of control over any premises

...then you need to act now to ensure you have a suitable and sufficient risk assessment in place

Fire Risk Assessment

The detailed fire risk assessment is now a requirement of the legislation for all premises regardless of whether or not a fire certificate has been previously held. We carry out a systematic examination of the premises and practices to identify hazards and to evaluate compliance with current legislation. The following aspects are covered: -

  1. The physical and structural conditions.
  2. Fire warning systems.
  3. Fire protection systems.
  4. Employee training.
  5. Fire fighting equipment.
  6. Means of escape.
  7. Fire safety management

Any serious breaches of the Fire Regulations or serious hazards will be pointed out to a Company representative during the inspection of the premises. The findings of the assessment are presented in the form of a detailed report with prioritised recommendations.
